Working out in YOUR SEASON of motherhood

I have learnt A LOT in my 7 years as a mama.

I want you to really think about which season you are in as mom...

Do you have a baby who is up every hour of the night keeping you up?

Do you have a toddler that wake up at an ungodly hour in the morning?

Do you have a kid/kids that are using up A LOT of your physical energy?

Are your kids all sleeping through the night with a predictable wake time every day?

I think that this is how you truly make your "workout plan."

If you are following a mom who sets her alarm every day at 0500am to workout before the kids wake up that's wonderful...for her.

If you are seeing another mom posting about the hardcore weightlifting workouts or the marathon she just ran that's also wonderful....for her.

If you are the tired mama who barely got any sleep last night, DO NOT set your alarm for 0500am to workout. Need i remind you that SLEEP is just as if not more important than movement.

If you see another mom posting about "setting an alarm before your kids wake up" and you have NO idea when those kids will wake. DO not set this as an expectation for yourself.

If you are a mama who is using up all of her physical energy on her kids cause they are little, then maybe don't do a heavy lifting workout or train for a marathon. A light flow yoga or a 15 min workout would probably suffice.

look at a workout program that says 4-7 days a week and let it intimidate you. If you can map our your busy week and fit 1-3 that's good enough. GIVE YOURSELF GRACE MAMA.
